This week in the computer lab....
Kindergarten reviewed their shapes using the online games Shapesville and Shape Splat. They also practiced making words using the same ending letters with Starfall.
First grade used Keyboard Zoo 2 to practice typing sentences with capital letters and end punctuation.
Second grade worked with Google Sheets to create a chart showing whether students in their class thought they were more like the tortoise or the hare. They learned to insert a row, center their information within a cell, change the color of certain cells, and increase the font size for a row and column.
Third graders had fun creating an April Fool's Day story with their classmates. They rotated around the room adding one sentence to the story being written on that computer. Students learned that punctuation and capital letters are important to help us understand what has been written.
Fourth grade continued to practice their typing on typing club. They also completed a scavenger hunt about Jefferson City to prepare for their upcoming field trip.
My name is Mrs. McGuire. I am so excited about seeing my friends in the computer lab. We are going to learn so much!
